Despite the vast distance between the Shang Dynasty civilization and the ancient Mesopotamian civilization, they exhibit astonishing similarities and differences in divination and religious systems. By exploring the commonalities and distinctions in divination practices within these two ancient civilizations, we can better understand their development in the field of divination, and further reveal the interrelationships between divination systems, religious beliefs, and social structures under different civilizations.
